Global Warming Issue

Global warming and pollution as well as fossil fuel combustion pose a threat throughout the world. The blanket is global pollution, heat trap and makes the greenhouse effect that affects earth atmosphere. All of the above affect the supply of clean water, public health, agriculture, coasts, forest and many more.

 

Clean, renewable and environmentally friendly energy

Geothermal energy is a source of heat energy contained in hot water, water steam and rocks together with associated minerals and other gases that cannot be separated genetically from one another in a geothermal system and a mining process is needed for its utilization.

Geothermal energy is a source of heat energy contained in hot water, water steam and rocks together with associated minerals and other gases that cannot be separated genetically from one another in a geothermal system and a mining process is needed for its utilization.

The utilization of geothermal energy is relatively environmentally friendly, especially for it does not contribute to greenhouse gas. Therefore, the materialization thereof needs to be spurred and accelerated. The utilization of geothermal energy will reduce dependence on fuel oil so as to be able to save petroleum reserves.


Geothermal energy potentials in Indonesia cover 40% of the world geothermal potentials, spreading in 251 sites in 26 provinces with total energy potential of 27,140 MW or equivalent to 219 Billion of Oil Barrel Equivalents. Current installed capacity is 1,042 or 3.8% of total existing potentials.
